Mary Vetel, owner of Serendipities Arts & Crafts Center, is a fused glass artist and metalsmith who works with dichroic glass, art glass, beach glass and precious
metals such as copper, sterling silver and precious metal clay (PMC, fine silver).  Ms. Vetel loves to share her passion by teaching.  She makes it fun, easy and affordable by offering classes at the Arts Center Killingworth, at Serendipities Arts & Crafts Center in Niantic and visiting you at your home for a fun crafting party with your friends. Her glass creations include nightlights, lamps, plates, bowls and wall hangings.
She also makes one of a kind jewelry mostly with dichroic and art glass but sometimes includes metals and beach glass found on the shores of Connecticut.   Whenever possible, she purchases supplies locally and recycles glass bottles into whimsical serving trays.  Subject matter can be abstract but also includes flowers, butterflies, landscapes, nautical and Celtic designs.  Ms. Vetel has exhibited her work at Art ‘N Image Gallery in Niantic and in many festivals throughout Connecticut such as Hartford Travelers Artists & Crafters Fair, New London Celts & Churrachs and Fish Tales, Tugs & Sails.
Ms. Vetel has studied fused glass, metalsmithing,
pottery and PMC at the Guilford Art Center.
