  • Autumn Art Trail Volunteer Opportunities
Columbus Day Weekend (October 6-7, 2012)
This annual art event includes an Outdoor Arts Festival on the Madison Town Green and an Open Art Studio Trail that winds through Shoreline towns. Host an Open Art Studio, be an Outdoor Arts Festival Info Rep, or Festival Early Riser.

    1. Open Art Studio Host
Assist a local artist in their private art studio during the Autumn Art Trail. Get to personally know the artist, welcome visitors to the studio, check and sell Trail passes, and process payment for art buyers. Past volunteers have said this was one of their most enjoyable ways to give back to the community and to become more involved with local artists!

    2. Outdoor Arts Festival Info Rep
Help run information booths at the Outdoor Arts Festival on the historic Madison Green in Madison, Connecticut. Become a liaison between the public, artists and Arts Center staff. Answer questions from the public, check in with the artists in your assigned area, and report any problems or questions you cannot answer to Arts Center staff. If you like talking with people, this one's for you!
    3. Outdoor Arts Festival Early Riser
Wake up sleepy heads! Early risers needed to be on the Madison Green at 7:30am, Saturday, October 6, to help artists locate their exhibit and parking areas, and to setup their exhibits and tents.  We'll be there too - let's be sleepy together
  • Mailing Organizers (Several Times a Year, Weekends)
Any amount of time is appreciated! Help the Arts Center's staff and
volunteers put-together seasonal fundraising mailings. Fold and organize
letters and other marketing inserts. Enjoy pizza and meet new people.

  • Art Birthday Party Volunteers (Fri-Sun)
Love children? Greet visitors, help with the party activities, serve cake, juice and snacks, and anything
else that keeps the birthday parents and child happy on their special day.
  • Advertising Solicitors (Ongoing, Flexible Times)
Market to local businesses for sponsorship and advertising space to support the Arts Center's larger events. ADVERTISING COMMISSION OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE. Target markets include Branford, Chester, Clinton, Centerbrook, Deep River, Essex, Guilford, Ivoryton, Killingworth, Old Saybrook, and Madison.
  • Database and Phone Work (Ongoing, Flexible Times)
Update the Arts Center's contact lists to support the Center's PR and marketing efforts. Learn basic contact database and refine phone skills.
