To support visual arts programs on the Shoreline, The Center has offered
a variety of programming, starting in 2004 with Meet Your Local
Artists, an outdoor exhibition at the 2004 Killingworth Town
Picnic. Residents met with local artists, many of whom are award winning
and nationally known. To learn more, see press coverage of the event
here.
Part of The Center's visual programming also includes the popular Sunday Afternoon with an Artist Series. Local artists contribute their artistic knowledge and passion in a warm, creative, non-threatening environment. Workshops have included Jewelry Making, Asian Brush Painting, Origami and Still Life Oil Painting. New courses are added regularly. Learn about the upcoming Sunday Afternoon Workshops here.
The largest Visual program for the year is the annual Autumn Art Trail. The first was held over a beautiful October 2005 weekend and showcased 17 artists and crafters with open studios, demonstrations, and exhibitions at both The Center and at a month-long exhibition at The Millhouse Gallery in Chester. Autumn Art Trail continued in 2006 and in 2007, when The Center sponsored a Modern Art Trail with a Juried Exhibition. To read more about Autumn Art Trail, click on the following links:
