Join local, natural perfumer David Schumann at the Arts Center
at Killingworth for a unique, hands-on exploration into the world of
perfuming using essential oils! Come learn how to surround yourself
with natural aromas made from lavender, sandalwood, rose, labdanum,
camphor and more. In one afternoon you will explore the history of perfuming,
the perfuming process, aroma styles and properties of many essential
oils while personally experiencing the oils and finally blending your
own perfume to take home with you.

David Schumann has been blending perfumes
for over 13 years and has worked with perfumers such as Ko-Ichi
Shiozawa, the chief perfumer of Aveda Corporation and Horst Rechelbacher,
the founder of Aveda. He has been in the beauty industry for over
30 years and was creative director and owner for Linear Aveda
Lifestyle Salon and Spa in Boston.
