Hand Felt a Couture Bag

November 21, 1-4:30pm, $65

Hand Felt Bag
Robin McCahill

Working with artist and teacher Robin McCahill, design and construct a bag, purse or vessel using the wet felting method. Learn a seamless one-piece technique and ways to shape your project. Incorporate designs and additions to embellish your work. Learn to make wool “ropes” for handles and garlands. Configure just how much the felting will shrink your creation. Be prepared for a fun workout as you roll and knead your piece into a one-of-akind fashion item.

Ms. McCahill leads ongoing workshops and classes, and teaches felting techniques to theatre and puppetry students, schools, libraries, art centers, and private workshops. She has exhibited at the Silas Bronson Library, The Funky Monkey Café and Gallery, and Farmington Valley Arts Center.

That they can create a felt couture bag!

Unless noted, all Workshops and classes are held at the Arts Center. Space is limited so please reserve your spot in advance.
