Join Artist Gloria Nilsson, for this once-a-month, Sunday Afternoon Fashion Workshop. Combine your fashion flair while honing in on drawing skills. Learn to designer sketch fashion accessories and place them into a graphically exciting still life. Different drawing skills and mediums will be spotlighted in each workshop. Mediums covered in previous workshops will be addressed at each new workshop as per student needs.

For Teens and Adults only. Materials list available. $30 per session. Please pre-register by the Friday before joining us.

November 9th, 1:30-4:30pm - Colored Pencil
Learn how to create depth with value as we learn the technique of cross hatching. You'll experiment with a loose spirited approach or venture into realism through the technique of layering. Remember no experience is necessary!

December 7th, 1:30-4:30pm - Vine Charcol
This is the one you don't want to miss! In our fourth fashion still life workshop we will practice the basics of preliminary quick sketching using vine charcoal. We will conquer several simple fashion set-ups concentrating on form, volume, proportion and structure. By the end of this workshop you will no longer feel overwhelmed by a fashion still life and you will enjoy sketching with speed and accuracy.

Artist Gloria Nilsson's degree in Graphic Design from the Pratt Institute in New York has contributed to her solid knowledge of the essential elements of good design. In addition to providing instruction in pastels, calligraphy and fashion illustration at the Arts Center at Killingworth, Gloria is a member of the Madison Art Society, Clinton Art Society, Shoreline Arts Alliance and The Lyme Art Association.
