Trumpeter Eddie Allen Headlines!

Eddie Allen, an award-winning New York-based
musician has recorded, performed and composed with
greats such as Dizzy Gillespie, Billy Harper, Etta Jones, Joe Henderson, Mongo Santamaria, Chico Freeman, Charli Persip and Vanessa Rubin. The Village Voice notes, Allen has a “beauty of brashness, especially when accompanied by chops and intuition. This talented trumpeter offers such a blend.”

Jazz Pianist Alma Macbride Opens!

Musical prodigy Alma Macbride, a pianist and flautist who displays “stunning maturity and poise at the keyboard,” attends the prestigious Choate Rosemary Hall School in Wallingford, Connecticut and has received scholarships for the Stanford Jazz Residency, Skidmore JazzWorkshop and Grammy Camp in Los Angeles. She is a member of Jazz Standard Youth Orchestra and recently performed in the Pittsfield City Jazz Festival Piano Prodigy Series.

The Arts Center Killingworth once again expects a sold out performance this February 18 (7:30pm) and suggests reserving early. Jazz NightOut is at The Ivoryton Playhouse 103 Main Street Ivoryton, Connecticut.
